ADDITIONAL CAMP INFORMATION


OVERNIGHT CAMPERS

Camp check-in information:

DATE:  Sunday, July 9, 2017
TIME:  6:00pm
LOCATION: PORTER STUDY LOUNGE in the Ellicott Dorm Complex.  You can click on the link, and/or see attached directions and campus map.
PARKING: will be in FARGO LOT.  Signs will be posted for “Track Camp.”  See attached campus map. If you are driving a car and parking it for the duration of the camp, you will not be permitted to drive your car during the camp.  Your car will remain securely parked for the duration of the camp.

Camp check-out information:
  • Thursday, July 13, 2017 upon the conclusion of the camp day, the campers will return to the residence halls to check-out.  Check-out will be conducted at the Porter Main Lounge at 4:00pm.  
  • Campers can be picked up at the Porter Main Lounge 4:00pm – 4:30pm on Thursday, July 13, 2017
  • Parking will be available in the Fargo Lot.  

Daily Attendance and Check-in procedures:
•    After the conclusion of each camp day, the overnight campers will be taken to the Residential Halls for check-in to their rooms.  Our UB counselors/coaches will be with the overnight campers at all times.
•    Evening activities are organized for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings with the UB staff and camp counselors, including a nutrition session, mental preparation/goal setting, and event specific information such as video review.  Attendance is required at the evening sessions.  Evening activities following the required evening sessions are optional.  
•    Curfew is 10:00pm daily in their rooms.  

Meals:

  • On Sunday, pizza will be available after check-in (approximately 7:00pm)
  • Dinner Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at UB’s top rated Crossroads Culinary Center (“C-3”) at approximately 5:00pm.
  • Breakfast Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings will be at Crossroads Culinary Center at 7:30am – 8:15am
  • Lunch is provided on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Stadium during the camp day at approximately 11:45am – 12:30pm
  • Please notify Coach Mitchell of any FOOD ALLERGIES! Vam3@buffalo.edu


What to Bring for Residence Hall:

  • Sheets for your bed (not provided)
  • Pillow (not provided)
  • Towels (not provided)
  • Fan (the dorm rooms can get hot… a fan is strongly suggested!)
  • Personal hygiene items, towels, Flip flops!
  • Snacks
  • Books, IPod, laptop, etc. And charger cords!

What to Bring for Daily Practice:

  • Wear workout clothes.  Bring an extra set daily (we’ll be sweating!).  There are laundry machines (free) in the residence halls.  Detergent is not supplied.
  • Track Shoes – Running shoes, specialty event shoes (spikes, throwing shoes, etc.)
  • Water Bottle
  • Snacks
  • Jacket (in case it’s cold or rains)
  • Sunblock, hat (in case it’s hot and sunny!)
  • We will go rain or shine!!!  
  • Camera! You will want memories!
     

COMMUTER CAMPERS

Camp check‐in information:

Daily Check-in: Monday, July 10, 2017 – Thursday, July 13, 2017
TIME: 8:30am to 9:00am
LOCATION:  University at Buffalo Stadium on the West Concourse Level of the Track/Football stadium.  This is the OPEN middle level of the stadium (if you’ve been to football games, it is the level with the concession stands).  The WEST side of the stadium is the side that faces the campus (the East side faces Millersport Hwy)

  • Parking will be in the Arena Parking Lot. See attached directions.
Daily Camp check‐out information:
  • Daily Check-out: Monday, July 10, 2017 – Thursday, July 13,2 017
  • TIME: 3:45PM
  • LOCATION: Campers will check-out on the Stadium Concourse each day  

Additional Information 4 Day Schedule:

  • Monday, July 10, 2017 – Thursday, July 13, 2017
  • LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
  • We suggest packing any extra snacks that you may want and your own water bottle
  • Please notify Coach Vicki Mitchell of any FOOD ALLERGIES! Vam3@buffalo.edu

What to Bring:

CELL PHONE POLICY:

  • Campers are permitted to have cell phones at camp, however use will be limited to the following times:
  • Before 9:00am
  • During lunch break
  • After camp day ends
  • If the camper needs to have access to their phone for emergency reasons during the camp day, their respective UB Counselor will hold on the phone during all instructional sessions and access will be available as needed.
